Ultimate Readiness
About
Continuous strength & conditioning program comprised of four to six specific training cycles of periodized programming for intermediate, advanced, and elite-level individuals and athletes.
Each training cycle breaks down as follows:
BLUE Phase - Foundation
This is the aerobic base development phase. The emphasis is on muscular endurance and low to moderate-intensity cardio training to adequately prepare the mind and body for future training phases.
GREEN Phase - Hypertrophy
This phase introduces movements and or protocols that are more challenging to the Central Nervous System (CNS) and musculature.
These movements include Bodyweight Strength Training (BST) elements or harder variations to basic bodyweight movement patterns, and loaded exercises depending on the training cycle.
Time under tension, eccentric loading, and other high-intensity strategies are utilized to stress the muscles for growth and adaptation for prescribed movements.
There is also an equal emphasis on increasing aerobic capacity for performance during this phase.
SILVER Phase - Strength
This phase trains musclular strength for each major muscle group through higher intensity and lower volumes while effectively holding onto the muscular endurance gains from the previous block of training.
GOLD Phase - Power & Strength Endurance
This phase introduces plyometrics and compound ballistic exercises to address explosive power.
Each resistance training session will be initiated with an explosive compound exercise to train a specific muscle group. In addition to the prescribed stimulus for power, there is a continuation of the progression for strength from the previous phase plus a utilization of compound sets for each major muscle group to effectively train strength endurance or hypertrophy.
RED Phase - Post Activation Potentiation
The objective of this particular phase is to train explosive power for each major muscle group through the technique of post activation potentiation or PAP, and
increase functional or transferable strength in the process.
The other goal of RED is to test physical readiness, durability, stamina, anaerobic a-lactic and lactic fitness, and the body’s ability to recover from stress through consistent efforts. Each session is more intense but less enduring.
ORANGE Phase - Work Capacity
The primary goal of this final phase of each programming cycle is to increase functional strength, work capacity, and anaerobic fitness.
ORANGE includes ballistic/plyometric movements, increased elements of metabolic conditioning, and both anaerobic lactic and lactate threshold training for increased capacity and overall performance.
