Our salvation is the most important aspect of our being in this life and in the life to come after we take our final breaths here on earth.

Salvation can only be found in Christ Jesus, the Lord of lords and King of kings. He is the only way to God the father and there is no other name under heaven in which man can be saved.

So, how can we receive this gift of salvation, know that we are saved, and spend eternity in heaven with our creator?

(1) Admit you are a sinner in need of a savior and ask the LORD to forgive you of all your transgressions. This is our godly sorrow leading us to repent and turn to God to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and heal us. Scripture tells us that we are all sinners… Romans 3:10 “As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;”

Romans 3:23-25

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.”

Christ shed his precious blood on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins because, without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin.

Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.“ John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.“ (2) Believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross at Calvary, shed His precious blood to forgive us of our sins, was buried, and raised to life on the third day.

He is now seated at the right hand of God The Father.

John 1:1-5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:14 “ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.“

Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,“ Acts 7:56 “But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.“ (3) Know and understand that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to salvation. The ONLY one who can save us from the penalty of our sins and reconcile us back into a right relationship with God the Father. Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” John 3:3

"Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

You see, Jesus walked the earth as God in human flesh, lived a perfect life to become the acceptable sacrifice for the atonement of man's sin, and willfully endured the wrath of God while on the cross for the penalty that you and I deserve. He is entirely God and was fully man and is the creator of all things. He rules, lives, and saves!

Hebrews 9:22

“Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.“ 1 Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.“ Romans 5:8 “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.“ (4) Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord Romans 10:9 “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.“ Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

In short, salvation requires that you repent and believe the Gospel. You must turn away from your sins, pick up your cross daily, and follow after Jesus Christ. Saying a quick prayer and then living in willful sin like the rest of the world will not cut it.

To be born again means that you are a new creation. You are dead to the world, alive in Christ, and are on the narrow road of being sanctified, bearing fruit, and becoming more Christ like in nature. You are convicted of sin by the Holy Spirit, and when you stumble, you ask the Lord to figive you and then you rely upon His strength to stand back up again.

Access to God the Father through a relationship with Jesus Christ the Son is the only true source of peace in this life. I hope this helps you well, my friend.
