FUNCTIONAL FITNESS CHALLENGE 2: Your Path To Peak Readiness

Welcome to another Navy SEAL Workout Challenge to test your readiness and performance. Some people often wonder what type of fitness is required to do the job of a Navy SEAL or anyone in special operations for that matter.
These workouts provide an example of the average fitness and physical readiness of those serving in these capacities.
Do your best to keep up or adjust the prescribed exercise and their repetitions to accommodate your current level of fitness.
WARM - UP
Knock out your own mobility, general, and or specific warm-up as necessary. Read my article on how to effectively warm up prior to a session for more amplifying information.
CHALLENGE
A. Single-Leg Glute Bridge ISO Hold-3 sets x 30 seconds each leg
Rest 30 seconds between sets
B. Chin-ups-2 ladders x 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 reps
Rest 30-60 seconds between sets up the ladder
Rest 3 to 5 minutes between ladders
Max # of ROUNDS in 30:00
C1. Triceps Push-up ISO hold @ mid-range position-30 seconds
or Dive Bomber Push-ups-10
C2. V-ups-20
C3. Burpees-10
C4. Walking Lunges-10 reps each leg alternating
C5. Run 2:00 or "Hit the Surf" @ Rate of Perceived Effort 7-8 out of 10
Minimal rest between rounds
Performance Standard: 5 Rounds minimum
"Hit the Surf" - This means to run 200 meters to the beach, get wet and sandy, then sprint 200 meters back to the grinder.
